Vinegar has to be one of the most versatile products you can buy. Not only is it a food ingredient, but you can also use it to clean, do laundry, and to garden. Vinegar is also extremely inexpensive; you can buy 2 liters for less than one dollar! Talk about a steal.

Did you know Vinegar can remove rust? So if you have any rusty knives, you can clean them by soaking them in vinegar for a few hours. Then all you need to do is wipe away the rust. There is no need for fancy rust removers; vinegar can do the job for a fraction of the price. How does vinegar do this? Vinegar is acidic and acid can eat away the rust. Want to clean the dishwasher? No problem, vinegar can do that too.

If your water is hard, and noticed your dishes splotched with minerals after they dry in the dishwasher, consider running a cup of vinegar alone through one cycle. This will clean the dishwasher and remove all the hard mineral buildup. So you don’t need to buy any fancy cleaner. You can also use vinegar on your clothing.

If you wash your clothing with vinegar, it will remove soap residue and left over detergent. This will making your black clothing look darker and make towels more absorbent. Vinegar can also remove bbq, and ketchup stains. I’m not saying you should throw away the laundry detergent, but you should consider throwing vinegar into your cleaning kit.
