If you celebrate Halloween by wearing a costume, you are awesome! Although I do not dress up anymore, I love looking at other people’s costumes. Purchased costumes are cool. But I am more impressed by the people who make their own costumes, especially on a budget. I believe that you do not have to spend a lot to get a really impressive costume.
There should be no reason why someone cannot afford a costume for Halloween. On the top of my head, I can think of two 5 minute costumes – a ghost or a Greek Toga wearer. All you need to do is have a set of bed sheets and some pins. Trying to be fancy? Or do not have what you need? Just go to Goodwill or Salvation Army and pick it up. Even if you could not find the color or style you want, you can always use paint and glue to customize it. And who cares if it does not turn out perfect? For me, my costumes never turn out the way I imagine. I always think of some ornate costume, and then it comes together like crap. But the great thing about Halloween is having fun and being creative.
This site has an awesome Stormtrooper mask made out of a milk jug.

Watch this video on how this guy made a Transformer costume- out of cardboard.

Cheapest costume I saw last night was a U-Haul box, worn by a pre-teen girl. Pretty cool that she was totally okay with not wearing fancy getups like her friends.
haha dressing up as a box is always going to be fun.
